A licensed professional engineer and certified energy manager (CEM), Farshad holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
With over 35 years of experience spanning facilities design, construction, testing and balancing, controls, project management, and energy management, Farshad has cultivated a deep understanding of how these disciplines interconnect. This expertise enables him to devise effective solutions to complex energy challenges.
Currently, Farshad serves as the Energy and Engineering Manager at the Texas Facilities Commission (TFC). In this role, he leads efforts to enhance energy conservation and drive utility savings across state facilities. Under his leadership, the TFC Office of Energy Management plays a pivotal role in reducing energy consumption and optimizing utility performance throughout state-operated facilities.
