Marlene Guerrero Plua is a Climate and Clean Energy Consultant at Stoic Energy Consulting, advising on program strategy, policy research, community outreach, and fundraising in Texas. Her advocacy is shaped by her upbringing in the Rio Grande Valley and her experience as a migrant farmworker. Previously, she managed climate justice campaigns with Jolt Initiative and developed outreach strategies at Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, securing $14.1 million for infrastructure improvements in low-income neighborhoods. Currently pursuing a dual master’s degree in Public Affairs and Community and Regional Planning at UT Austin, she received the Dean’s Graduate Fellowship Award and the RGK Global Fellowship. Marlene is dedicated to creating a better future for her son and generations to come.
