Dr. Kurt Roth leads Energy Systems applied R&D at Fraunhofer USA. He has served as a co-PI on several multi-year DOE technology development and demonstration projects, including an ongoing effort to developing an integrated process to digitize and reduce the cost of and time to deliver high-performance exterior wall retrofits. Dr. Roth has also led several studies to assess the energy savings and commercialization potentials of building technologies and characterize building energy consumption. He has presented at numerous conferences and meetings and authored more than sixty ASHRAE Journal "Emerging Technology" articles. Dr. Roth received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
