The Rev. Nathan Ives is the 26th Rector of St. Peter’s-San Pedro Episcopal Church in Salem and joined the parish in 2018. A bilingual priest with over 35 years of experience in nonprofit management and fundraising, Fr. Nathan also serves as a member of the Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Massachusetts, as co-convener of the Essex County Community Organization’s Clergy Caucus, and as a member of the Board of Directors of Community Purchasing Alliance of Massachusetts. Fr. Nathan is a tireless advocate for immigrants and the marginalized in Salem, an innovator in the field of sustainable energy networks, and deeply committed to the work of reparations to the Black community for the sins of slavery in historic churches like St. Peter’s.
Educated at Hartford Seminary, the University of Madrid, and Hartford University, Fr. Nathan and his spouse live in his hometown of Rockport with their youngest daughter and, thankfully, not wicked far from their oldest daughter, son-in-law and grandson, down Maine.
