Jim serves as the Managing Director of Accelerating Decarbonization at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC). As a quasi-public state economic development organization, MassCEC catalyzes climate solution innovations to meet Massachusetts' emissions reduction goals while growing the state’s clean energy economy. Jim leads a mission-driven team focusing on three critical areas: 1) Buildings 2) Net Zero Power Grid 3) Clean Transportation. Jim is a licensed architect with over 30 years of leadership in multiple facets of the profession, including sustainable design, teaching, research, and policy. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and a Master of Science in Sustainability from Tufts University. Jim is also a licensed private pilot, US Air Force veteran, and Fulbright Specialist.
