Hessann Farooqi is the Executive Director of the Boston Climate Action Network. Hessann was also appointed by Boston Mayor Michelle Wu to oversee the implementation of Boston’s key climate law, BERDO, and serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors of Built Environment Plus. He has also served in advisory roles for projects with Healthcare Without Harm, Institute for Market Transformation, The White House, and Metropolitan Area Planning Council. Hessann previously worked in the United States Senate under Sen. Ed Markey, served on various federal, state, and local political campaigns, and studied economics at Boston University. He lives in Boston, MA.
