Lucas Toffoli currently serves as VP, Technical Expertise, on USGBC’s Technical Development team, which works across building sectors to engage, define, and drive high-performing built assets through the development and continuous improvement of USGBC/GBCI products, including LEED. He was previously a Principal in RMI’s buildings practice, leading initiatives on construction innovation and multifamily housing. Lucas’ prior experience spans sustainability and construction management for a vertically integrated real estate firm in the Boston area, commercial development management in the San Francisco Bay Area, strategy consulting for life sciences clients, and institutional building operations. He holds an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering – Sustainable Design and Construction from Stanford University and an AB in History of Art and Architecture from Harvard College. He has worked on three continents and in four languages.
