Speaker Bio
Jeff Greenberger is a founding partner of Affordable Community Energy Services Company (formerly Affordable Community Energy, Inc.) (ACE), a mission-driven utility services company providing energy efficiency, water conservation and on-site electricity production to stakeholders in low-income communities. ACE’s unique financing model was tailored originally to meet the challenges that non-profit multifamily affordable housing owners faced in financing green retrofits. Since 2019, ACE has been installing rooftop solar under the Illinois Solar for All program and, more importantly, has recently begun working with the REALIZE group within the Rocky Mountain Institute to find a way to feasibly perform net zero retrofits in affordable housing. Before turning his attentions to environmental justice, Jeff was a lawyer and worked at Jones Lang LaSalle, a global leader in real estate services, and Deutsche Bank in New York as the Head of Strategic Planning/Real Estate—Americas and AsiaPacific and then Global Head of CRES Corporate Planning. He has a B.S. in Journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in New York. He has served on the boards of Hispanic Housing Development Corporation, Facing History and Ourselves, The Institute for Clinical Social Work and forma.
