Melissa Sokolowsky is Senior Project Manager at the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC), a non-profit trade association for the energy efficiency industry whose mission is to promote policies, programs, and technologies that create jobs and foster economic growth and environmental improvement. As part of her role, she manages the energy monitoring and diagnostic Tool Lending Library at the Smart Buildings Center (a project of NEEC), providing educational and technical support for industry professionals. She also serves as NEEC’s Building Operator Certification (BOC) Curriculum and Training Manager, helping building operators, facility managers, and building owners maximize their operational efficiency. She has logged many years in various construction and mechanical trades and has over a decade of experience in facility operation and management in commercial, industrial, educational, and agricultural sectors. She holds degrees in Graphic Design, Energy Management, and Sustainable Building Science Technology. She has completed the BOC training and holds a LEED Green Associate credential, as well as certificates in Residential Auditing, Commercial Lighting, Project Management, and Electronics Troubleshooting.
