Saagar Patel is an expert in energy and sustainability – especially relating to design and construction – as well as a skilled professional in building analytics and data. Patel has a passion for meeting the needs and wants of clients through transparent communication and an efficient, collaborative, and detail-oriented approach. When a challenge arises, he addresses the problem with his team and brings the best agreed-upon solution to the client. Patel currently serves on two influential advisory boards in Illinois where he offers direction on policies and initiatives that have a major impact on the environmental future of the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago. The first is the Illinois Energy Code Advisory Council, where he serves as the Mechanical Engineer representative in the five-member group charged with offering industry viewpoints on business and other issues. The second is the Building Decarbonization Working Group for the City of Chicago where he helps to craft recommendations charting a course to dramatically reduce the emissions from the built environment and further a green economic recovery in Chicago.
