Scott leads research projects that focus on emerging technology performance in the built environment. His commercial building experience encompasses field measurement and modeling of emerging technology performance. Scott manages projects, designs experiment and conducts both theoretical and field research to analyze the applicability of new technologies to federal and state agencies, and utility efficiency programs. Scott supports energy and daylight modeling for commercial new construction programs. He specializes in modeling of campuses, communities, and regions through large scale batch energy modeling. In addition, Scott studies climate change impacts on building energy consumption and demand. Scott has a bachelor’s degree in physics from Indiana University and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
